Wael Shamseddeen, MD, MPH

Dr. Shamseddeen is assistant professor at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), and adjunct assistant professor at University of Michigan, MI, USA. For past few years, Dr. Shamseddeen has been practicing both child/adolescent & adult psychiatry. His clinical interest is ADHD, mood disorders, and early psychosis. At University of Michigan, he used to be a member in “The Program for Risk Evaluation and Prevention” which works with individuals who show risk signs of psychosis or early psychosis.

Dr. Shamseddeen research focuses on treatment and prevention of relapse of mood disorders, and impact of stress, trauma, & grief on mental health particularly among adolescents. He has been granted several research awards, and has more than 45 peer reviewed articles many of which were published in prestigious journals such as JAMA, The American Journal of Psychiatry, and Journal of American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
