Dr. Naja obtained his medical degree from the Saint Joseph University and graduated in Psychiatry in 1996 from the Paris Sud University in France. He has several subspecialties in Forensic Psychiatry, Psychopharmacology and General Pharmacology from the Faculty of Medicine Paris Sud and Faculty of Medicine of La Pitie-Salpetriere.
In 2008 he was appointed Chairman of the psychiatry department at the Lebanese University and nominated as Professor in 2016
He is the author of more than 25 international publications and was awarded the ECNP award. Dr. Naja’s current research focuses mainly on Major depression and its correlates in hemodialysis patients, the Psychiatric profile of Lebanese cancer patients, love and its ailments, and on manic switches following antidepressant cessation.
