Mario Skugor, M.D. FACE
Dr. Skugor graduated Medical school in 1986. I spent two years as research associate in Institute for Nuclear Medicine of University of Zagreb working in areas of metabolic bone disease and thyroid cancer. I finished Nuclear Medicine Residency program in 1993.
From 1993 to 1997 I was at Ohio State University working as research associate in the Bone and Mineral Metabolism Laboratory. In 1997 I started Internal Medicine residency program in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland. The final year I served as a Chief Resident. Endocrinology fellowship in Cleveland Clinic was form 2000-2002. I have been on staff in Cleveland Clinic since. I served on Board of Directors of Ohio River Valley Chapter of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and was a president during the 2007 and 2008. I was associated director of our Endocrinology, fellowship program from 2009-2011. I was Vice-Chairman of the Global Patient Services at Cleveland Clinic from 2009-2013 and Interim Chairman from 2013-2014.
I am clinical associate professor of medicine and director of PBL case development Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU, and hold the Catherine and Edward Lozick chair in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Cleveland Clinic.
