Julian joined the U.S. Department of State more than four years ago, and is currently the officer in charge of the Embassy’s human rights portfolio, which covers LGBTI rights, as well as annual reports, such as the Human Rights and Trafficking in Persons reports. Prior to working in Lebanon, Julian served in Mexico. Before joining the Department of State, Julian served as a volunteer in Honduras with the U.S. Peace Corps, where he helped underserved and vulnerable populations, including LGBTI individuals, develop business and life skills to sustainably support themselves and their families. Julian has also worked as a financial and banking analyst, and studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
