Jeremy D.W. Greenlee was born and raised in Indiana and obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Michigan. He graduated with an M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his neurological surgery residency training at the University of Iowa in 2004. Dr. Greenlee then completed a fellowship in Sydney, Australia in minimally invasive and endoscopic cranial surgery under the direction of Charles Teo. Dr. Greenlee joined the University of Iowa faculty in 2005 and was promoted to full Professor in 2017.
Dr. Greenlee has special clinical expertise in brain tumors, endoscopy, anterior skull base, and deep brain stimulation surgery and is recognized as an expert in minimally invasive cranial surgery. He serves as the Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program as well as the department’s Post-doctoral Pre-residency Clinical Fellowship Program. He has been named to ‘Best Doctors in America’ and has received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award.
